****Little Egg Inlet condition report**** Hey folks, just wanted to give everyone an update on LEI. I ran both the north cut and the southern buoyed inlet today at low tide. The north cut is in great shape. I ran my same line from last year and the lowest I saw was 7’. ICW marker 115 is off station and in the middle of the entrance to the north cut on the ocean side. It actually settled in a good spot to use as a mark when entering from the north. The southern buoyed channel is a mess from the winter. Most buoys are off station and the inlet has shifted to the south. Stay at least 100-150’ south of your line from last year. The good news there is a deep channel that will take you out. The buoy tender has a lot of work, but once he shows up, we’ll have a nice deep inlet for the summer. The black track line on my photo is the deep channel. Stay safe and happy boating.
