Nobody talks about the weight moms carry in life….
Forget about this first week of school though 😰
Who read the 14 emails?
Who bought everything on the supply list?
Who remembered it was Wear Red Day?
Who filled out the forms?
Who checked the calendar?
Who packed the lunches?
Who realized we were out of strawberries?
Who went grocery shopping?
Who washed the water bottles that were somehow already disgusting?
Who remembered the teacher’s name, the pickup time, the folder that needs to go back, the permission slip, the snack, the extra clothes?
Who is already thinking about picture day, Halloween costumes and the next day school is closed?
MOM.
And this isn’t about husbands.
You can have the most loving, helpful, involved husband in the world…
and somehow, Mom is still the keeper of 847 tiny details that keep the whole family moving.
So if you made it through the first week of school and everyone was fed, dressed and made it to roughly where they were supposed to be…
You’re doing a damn good job.
Moms are superheroes.
We just don’t get the cape.
We get the family calendar. 😂
