Quick Thursday update: Lionseed will be opening a little late today—closer to noon. 🚗🛞🧨

The good news: we’ll still be here until 4, the educator sale is on, and there are plenty of books waiting for you.

Today: ~12–4

Summer is winding down quickly—and so are your chances to make that trip to Lionseed. ❤️

We’re open Thursday–Saturday, 10–4 this week, and the shelves are still full of really great books, STEM activities and bookish fun looking for homes.

And teachers, librarians, paras, childcare providers & homeschool educators: this weekend is for you. 📚

Show us your school ID (or just tell me what/where you teach) and get 30% off all kids' picture books and chapter books—perfect for refreshing classroom and school libraries before fall. 🍁🍂

Don’t save that Lionseed trip for “one of these days.” Summer has a funny way of running out of them.

They’re smart. They’re trying. And somehow, it’s still not working. 😫

~ The assignment they meant to do.
~ The email they can’t bring themselves to open.
~ The deadline that wasn’t urgent—until suddenly it’s an emergency.

And underneath it all is a student who really does want to get it together.

These are my people. I get them. And helping them find their way through college—and eventually watching them walk across that stage—is some of my favorite work.

You may know me as the person behind Lionseed, but this is another piece of the work I love. I’m taking on new 1:1 academic + executive function coaching students this fall—in the St. Cloud area or virtually anywhere.

My primary focus is college students, but I also work with high school students—and adults reading this thinking, “Well...this sounds suspiciously like me.”

Know someone who could use a little extra support this fall? Send them my way.

Not sure coaching is even what they need? That’s okay, too. I’m always happy to talk it through and help figure out what kind of support might help—even when it isn’t me.

Jess Lourey is coming back to Battle Lake — and to Lionseed.
Jess was one of the first authors to visit us when Lionseed was brand new, and she’s been part of our story ever since. So I’m especially happy to have her back for a special end-of-summer morning together.

We’ll talk books, Battle Lake, writing, and her brand-new thriller, The Crying Killer — with time to visit, get books signed, and celebrate a little of what we’ve built here together.

Wednesday, Aug. 26 • 10 AM
Free & open to everyone.
