The Fifolet Halloween Festival is a collaborative event, led by the 10/31 Consortium, in partnership with local organizations and businesses. The main event is the Baton Rouge Halloween Parade on Fifolet Saturday. The festival is kicked off by the King and Queen of the Halloween Parade at the 10/31 Consortium's Ghostly Gala. Fifolet (fee fo lay) - According to Cajun folklore, a fifolet is a bright

light, seen often in the swamp, gently floating and beckoning all to follow. Some say it is a spirit, which may or may not be evil, meant to misdirect or disorient those who try to follow it as a perceived point of safety. Treasure hunters believe a fifolet will lead you to treasure. Just hide and watch to see if it hovers over a certain place. Come back in the daylight with a shovel and you may find a treasure. The Fifolet Festival is presented by the 10/31 Consortium, a Baton Rouge, LA based 501c3 non-profit organization established in July 2010. A club for Halloween enthusiasts, the 10/31 Consortium hosts several Halloween-themed events throughout the year, leading up to the festival. The organization is dedicated to children and the preservation of this autumn tradition by raising money for Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital, collecting food for the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, collecting costumes for children in the Big Buddy Program, as well as working with area neighborhoods to promote safe Trick or Treat practices. 🎭💛 Golden Hearts Shine Bright! 💛🎭

We can’t thank The Golden Guys enough for their incredible support and spirit! This all-male dance group, brings sparkle, energy, and heart to every event they join.

Not only were they proud sponsors of the Fifolet Halloween Festival this year, but they also jumped in to perform and assist wherever needed—proving that they’ve got some of the biggest hearts in all of Baton Rouge!

For over 10 years, Teresa has shared her time, talent, and heart with our organization. We believe that children should not have to leave their own neighborhoods to experience the joys of Trick or Treat and that doing so can be detrimental to the strength of the community. Neighborhood events create a sense of togetherness and goodwill while also building safer communities for our children. We are building stronger and safer neighborhoods one Trick or Treat at a time.
