Before every Thanksgiving, Cortana Kiwanis visits families in need with care packages filled with fresh and delicious food to help make the holiday extra special. For many of our members, this is a highlight of the Thanksgiving season and something we all look forward to!

Our favorite places to volunteer are at local schools! We've had the pleasure of visiting both Mayfair Elementary School and Broadmoor Elementary School to help teach students life skills and to be a positive figure in their lives.

In addition to the Baton Rouge Children’s Advocacy Center and the Baton Rouge Youth Coalition benefitting through proceeds from the Christmas parade, Cortana Kiwanis strives to help other local organizations, charities, and causes throughout the entire year.

Our members always look forward to our outreaches to elementary schools in our area and food donations to those in need.

One of the major events the Cortana Kiwanis of Baton Rouge assists with is the annual Downtown Kiwanis Club of Baton Rouge's Pancake Festival! An important part of their organization's outreach efforts leading into the holiday season, the all-you-can-eat event brings people together and helps those in need.
