What an incredible weekend it has already been — from Movie in the Park and the Mobile Escape Room, to Boos & Brews and Sounds of the Season filling the Theatre… and this morning’s Spooky Stacks and Farmers Market crowd proving once again that Main Street truly shines in every season! 🎃✨

That’s why this next part is so tough — due to the continued forecast and high chances of rain, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s Nightmare on Main Parade and Monster Bash. The safety and well-being of our community, crews, and volunteers always comes first. ❤️

Don’t fret, friends — Nightmare on Main will be back bigger and better in 2026!

Until then, keep your costumes close because the Ultimate Halloween Experience returns Friday, October 31st for a Fun & Safe Halloween on Main Street! 👻

Get ready for a spooktacular weekend of fun, frights, and festivities in Downtown Batesville! Nightmare on Main kicks off Friday, October 24, with two thrilling mobile escape rooms (Frankenstein & Zombie themes) and a Community Movie Night at Maxfield Park!
The fun continues Saturday, October 25, with Spooky Stacks breakfast at Sarah • Dipity (8–11 AM), followed by the annual Halloween Parade at 6 PM. Stick around for the Monster Bash Dance and our popular Costume Contest at 7:30 PM, featuring categories for kids, teens, adults, and groups. There will be CASH PRIZES!!!

The 2025 Nightmare on Main Street Parade is happening on October 25 in downtown Batesville! Parade time will start at 6:00 p.m. Registration will open soon so start planning your floats, group themes, or pet costumes. There will be a Monster Bash Dance Party with costume competition following the parade!

Main Street Batesville’s Fun and Safe Halloween event is next Thursday from 4:30 to 8:00 for your goblins to hit Main Street for some trick or treating! There’s a cool pumpkin carving contest this year organized by one of our downtown residents so get those pumpkins and carving knives out and get to work for a chance at a great prize 🏆

Ghouls and goblins, the time draws near for spooky floats and Halloween cheer! But we don’t want to leave anyone out, so get costumed up and ghost about!

This year we want everyone dressed in costumes to feel welcome to walk in the parade. Join the fun by hopping into the parade in the beginning, middle, or END where the dance party begins for our Monster Bash!

It’s SHOW TIME in 12 short days for the 4th annual Nightmare on Main Street Halloween parade, costume competition and dance party!!!

The Halloween Parade in Batesville is set for October 19 at 6:00 p.m. There will be 3 categories of parade entries - Best Float, Best Group (ATVs and golf carts can be used), and Best Pet. The parade registeration fee is $20.00

The costume competitions will have two age categories, one for ages 0-12 and one for ages 13 and up. Both will take place in the Citizens Bank Pocket Park on Main Street following the Halloween Parade. Just go to the Pocket Park to sign up!! The costume competitions are FREE and the winners will receive CASH prizes! STAY for the Monster Bash Dance on Main!!!!
