The lot & neighborhood:
It's a beautiful, rectangular shaped fenced & gated 1.02 acre corner lot (300' x 148') with lots of trees, open spaces, & some nature trails. Thousands of wild flowers pop up in the spring creating a spectacular sight. Plenty of room for a second house or whatever you want. There are some raised bed organic/pesticide free veggie gardens. Chard, okra, tomatoes, & celantro are being grown this summer. Plenty of space - most neighbor's homes are on lots from half an acre to 100 acres or more. Use 107 Twin Lakes as it is or develop it. Your imagination is your only limitation. Trees: There are at least 70 trees: cedar, live oak, loblolly pine, mesquite, hackberries, mimosas, with productive peach & pear trees. ~40 mostly loblolly pines were planted 2012 - they're about ten feet tall already & growing fast, Half a dozen live oaks were also planted in 2012 on the west side of the house & lot. They should be good for 300 or more years(!). There are also a few older trees (cedar, live oak, pine, mimosa & hackberrys) that have been here for many years. Privacy fencing was built & trees were planted with privacy & shade in mind so like a fine wine, this mini-ranch will get better with time. There's plenty of room for Llamas, chickens, goats, peacocks, guinea fowl, or even a horse or two. Here you have plenty of elbow room and freedom to do what you want. There is no neighborhood association. It's a beautiful & diverse area, with a few elegant ranches, a good number of middle class brick or rock homes on one or more acres, a number of trailer homes & a few tiny houses. It's a decent, up & coming neighborhood. Everyone does a pretty good job of keeping everything cool & presentable. There are plenty of friendly neighborly people. It's a very mixed (politically) blue/red area, everyone is polite, & tends to mind their own business. There is very little traffic to contend with both going & coming, very clean air, (usually a breeze blowing from the South -off Lake Bastrop), and it's very quiet. Great bike (bicycle or motor) riding area, star gazing, & birdwatching. A great place to rejuvenate & relax.

Driving/walking Distances:
It's only about 1/2 mile from Lost Pines Elementary & the North Lake Bastrop park, less than 100 yards to the bus stops for children Bastrop high school, middle school, & elementary kids, ~5 miles to the Bastrop Skating Palace, ~6 miles from downtown Bastrop historic district/restaurants & the new Schulman Lost Pines 8 Movie Theater with bowling & mini golf. About 30 to 40 mins (depending on the lights) to the Austin airport. The neighborhood is serviced by CARTS (Capital Area Rural Transportation System). Three great ways to get here from Austin: Hwy 71, US 290, & FM 969. Avoid insane traffic jams. Leave the city traffic, pollution & noise issues behind. Come out where it's quiet, where the air is super clean & there are no traffic hassles.
