The Memorial 5K is a 100% volunteer and veteran organized, USTA certified race, held each year in Lake Barrington, IL. Join the Veterans of Lake Barrington Shores and be a part of the inaugural Memorial 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, May 29, 2022. All runners and walkers are welcome to participate. Prior to the start of the race, a brief ceremony will take place to honor and remember those who have served
our nation in uniform and made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. This charity race will be a great way to honor our nation’s heroes and kick-off the start of Summer! By participating or contributing to the Memorial 5K event, you will be supporting the noble work of the Veterans of Lake Barrington Shores. Their not for profit group supports military families and vets through out the northwest suburbs. Additionally, the Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation is this year’s race charity. Donations will be made to the Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation to continue their work to provide financial assistance and mortgage free homes to the families of fallen servicemembers.
