Join us for the Gallipolis in Lights 5K (Night) ELECTRIC RIVER Run/Walk on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 9:00 PM at Gallipolis City Park.

This is not your average 5K. Come ready for a glow-in-the-dark, neon-colored night run/walk through Gallipolis with music, lights, photo ops, neon face painting, Kona Ice, activities starting at 7:00 PM, and prizes for the best glow outfits.

$30 pre-registration includes a T-shirt and glow bracelet
$35 after May 11 or on race day, no extras

The 2025 Russell Turkey Trot 5K is your chance to get moving, see friends, and give back to local families who really need it this year. Before the big meal, the football, and the couch, you’ll have already done something healthy for yourself and meaningful for your community.

About the Course
The race starts and finishes at the Senior Center. You’ll head out past the Super Quik, run along the river, then finish with an out-and-back toward Worthington. It’s a scenic, approachable route that works for both runners and walkers. Bring your family, push a stroller, or race it hard—it’s your call. Don't worry, it is nice and flat!

Long sleeve race shirts are guaranteed to everyone who registers. You can still get a shirt!

All proceeds and food donations go to Helping Hands of Greenup County, which provides food, clothing, medication assistance, utility help, and other emergency support to local seniors, kids, and families at risk. Your race entry directly supports that work.

Tombstone Trot 5K Run/Walk
Greenlawn Cemetery, Portsmouth, OH
Sunday, October 26, 2025 – 2:00 PM

Step into history and lace up your running shoes for the Tombstone Trot 5K! This flat and scenic course starts in front of the historic Greenlawn Chapel (built in 1884) and winds through the cemetery, brick roads, and nearby Mound Park before finishing back at the Chapel.

A free Kids’ Fun Run will take place at 1:30 PM – no registration required. Children will dash around Soldiers Circle.

Highlights:

Family-friendly and costume-encouraged – just fun, no frights

Race shirts guaranteed for those registered by October 15

Awards for top overall male and female finishers plus top three in each age group

Age groups range from 8 & under through 70+

Proceeds benefit the Friends of Greenlawn Cemetery Foundation, supporting restoration and preservation of this historic site

Entry Fees:

$25 – before October 10

$30 – before October 26

$35 – Race Day (registration opens at noon)

Additional parking available at SOMC LIFE Center, 1202 18th Street, Portsmouth.
Dogs are not permitted inside the Cemetery.

The flat course starts in front of the historic Greenlawn Chapel completed in 1884 and makes several loops around the Cemetery inside the fence and around nearby Mound Park before finishing in front of the Chapel. There is a mix of pavement, uneven brick roads, and grass paths.
