Baraboo Mystery Weekend

09/08/2026

We have a mystery to announce. 🔎

Baraboo Mystery Weekend is returning April 3 & 4, 2027, with The Murder of Crowe, and we are proud to announce that Good Neighbor Clinic - Baraboo will be our 2027 Charity of the Year!

Recently opened right here in Baraboo, Good Neighbor Clinic provides free medical care for uninsured and underserved neighbors in the Baraboo and Wisconsin Dells area. We are excited to support a mission that makes such a meaningful difference in our community.

The proceeds from our 2027 Mystery Weekend will be donated to Good Neighbor Clinic.

So mark your calendars, gather your fellow detectives, and get ready for another weekend of mystery, murder, and making a difference.

The 2027 Baraboo Mystery Weekend Donation Application is now open!

Each year, Baraboo Mystery Weekend brings families together for a fun, community-focused event that showcases Downtown Baraboo and the incredible local businesses that make it special.
One of the most rewarding parts of the event is being able to give back by supporting the charities and organizations that work every day to make Baraboo an even better place to live.

If you're involved with a local nonprofit or community organization—or know someone who is—we'd love to hear from you! Please share this post or tag an organization that could put the proceeds from Baraboo Mystery Weekend to good use.

Applications are due August 1. Don't miss the opportunity to be considered for 2027!

This year, Baraboo Mystery Weekend was able to donate $8,000 to the Sauk County Children’s Giving Tree.

That number matters. Not because of us, but because of what it means for families right here in our community.

The Sauk County Children’s Giving Tree works year-round to support local children and families, helping make sure kids have gifts to open and essentials they need, especially during the holidays. It’s the kind of impact you don’t always see, but you feel it.

What started as a fun weekend of solving a mystery has grown into something we’re incredibly proud of. In six years, Baraboo Mystery Weekend has donated over $30,000 to local charities.

That only happens because people show up.

Sponsors who believe in it. Clue stops that bring it to life. Volunteers and actors who give their time. The Mystery Weekend team. And most importantly, the people who come together to play!

This year, participants came from 16 different states to our little Baraboo to be part of it.

That still feels pretty special.

It’s an honor to support organizations like Sauk County Children’s Giving Tree and to give back to the community that makes this whole thing possible.

🧵 MURDER BOARD WINNER 🧵

Congrats to Tori Putman on winning this year’s Murder Board.

Brett fully belly laughed… and honestly, that’s about as scientific as our judging process gets.

You’ve earned:
🎟️ 2 tickets to next year’s Baraboo Mystery Weekend
👕 2 official T-shirts
👜 1 Baraboo Mystery Weekend tote for all your future wildly unnecessary red string purchases

⸻

Also… if you were watching the Live during the reveal and thought,
“did that just… end?”

Yes. Yes it did.

The ending got cut off and completely missed the prize portion because technology chose violence.

All prize winners will be contacted directly via phone or email.

Well… that was one way to end a reveal.

A man in a bird mask.
A sharp caw caw.
And suddenly… three bird masked suspects walk off stage without a word.

Coincidence?
Yeah, we don’t think so either.

🕵️‍♂️ Tickets for Baraboo Mystery Weekend 2027: The Murder of Crowe are now live online.
