The Baltimore Convention Center is the premier location in the Mid-Atlantic for organizations to host conventions, meeting, luncheons and other activities large and small. The four level Center boasts seven exhibition halls providing a total of 300,000 square feet, 50 meeting rooms with a total of 85,000 square feet and the largest ballroom in the state of Maryland, totaling over 36,000 square feet. The Center is conveniently located off of Interstates 83 and 295 in the revitalized downtown area and is surrounded by several major hotels and tourist attractions all within walking distance.

The Baltimore Convention Center was honored to welcome the 33rd Annual Civil Rights Breakfast, hosted by the Baltimore City Office of Equity and Civil Rights Baltimore City Office of Equity & Civil Rights

From a powerful performance by the Morgan State University Choir to inspiring remarks and the presentation of the Community Impact and Civil Rights Awards, the morning brought together elected officials, community leaders and advocates to celebrate Baltimore’s civil rights legacy and those making a lasting impact.

What a weekend in Charm City!

The BCC was filled with superheroes, cosplayers, artists, gamers, collectors, and fans from near and far as Baltimore Comic-Con hosted its 27th annual show over the weekend. From incredible costumes and collectibles to meet-and-greets, panels, and plenty of fandom, our halls were filled with energy all weekend long. We love seeing our spaces transformed by the creativity and passion that our clients and their attendees bring. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this weekend one to remember!

Director of Operations, Tyler DeBella, CMP, CEM, and Deputy Director Phil Costa, CVP attended The Daily Record’s 2026 Leading Women Under 40 celebration, recognizing Tyler among this year’s honorees for her leadership, professional achievements, and community impact. Since joining the BCC, Tyler has played a key role in advancing the Center’s sustainability, accessibility, and operational excellence initiatives, including efforts that contributed to the BCC earning Gold-level certification through the Events Industry Council’s Sustainable Event Standards. The evening featured a networking reception and celebration honoring women across Maryland for their contributions to their organizations and communities.

Food has a special way of bringing people together!

Last week, our Sous Chef, Rochelle Kennedy, welcomed North American Chinese Invitational Volleyball Tournament (NACIVT) National Committee Member and Director of Volleyball for the Chinese Youth Club of Washington, DC, Patrick "2E" Chin, and his mother into the BCC kitchen for a special cooking experience centered around congee—a comforting savory rice porridge enjoyed throughout many Asian countries and a treasured family recipe for our client.

Together, they shared family traditions, cooking techniques, and cultural stories while Chef Rochelle learned firsthand how to prepare this meaningful dish. Experiences like these help our culinary team continue expanding its palate and expertise so we can better serve the diverse cultures and traditions represented by our patrons. Whether we're welcoming events like the North American Chinese Volleyball DC Mini tournament or hosting gatherings from around the world, we're committed to creating authentic, memorable dining experiences that make every guest feel at home. Yesterday marked the kickoff of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. 2026 Annual Convention at the Baltimore Convention Center—the first time this incredible event has been held in our venue! 🎉

Founded in 1938, Jack and Jill of America brings together thousands of mothers, children, families, and community leaders from across the country to empower the next generation through professional development, educational programs, community service, and culture.

The convention kicked off with an exciting carnival that transformed our exhibit halls into a fun celebration complete with rides, games, and family-friendly activities. Throughout the weekend, attendees will experience unique projects, including a Medtronic Mobile Lab stationed in our Charles Street service drive, bringing hands-on medical education directly to the venue. It’s a great example of how the BCC can transform its spaces to bring every client’s vision to life.
