What

A dangerous drug-resistant fungus known as Candida auris is spreading across the U.S., with confirmed cases now reported in more than half of all states. According to tracking by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, at least 7,000 people were infected in 2025 alone — mostly in hospitals and nursing homes.

The fungus can survive on surfaces for long periods and spreads through medical equipment like catheters and breathing tubes. Some strains are resistant to all known antifungal treatments, leaving doctors with few to no options. Health experts warn climate change may be helping these fungi adapt to human body temperatures, making outbreaks harder to control.

This kid went viral as a little boy talking about "shot that boy 5x, went to juvenile" and now he's sitting in prison for alleged 1st degree murder. He and two other kids tried to rob a house in West Memphis and the homeowner opened fire, k*lling his 14-year-old friend. Now the surviving kid got charged with homicide.
