Films On The Pier

Films On The Pier Annual Summer Free Film Series held on Broadway Pier in Fells Point, Baltimore. FAQs
Q: Where are you located? Q: How much does it cost? For you? Nothing!

The Films are shown at the very end of Broadway Pier with the screen closest to the end/water. One of the best places to watch an outdoor movie in the city, with breezes off the water and so many great shops and restaurants nearby. It’s a free event put on by Preservation Society of Federal Hill & Fell’s Point and a few dedicated neighbors. However, we will gladly accept donations to ensure it’s s

omething we can continue to do in the future! A donation QR code will be available shortly and at each film showing. Q: Should I bring a chair/blanket? The pier is concrete/brick so we do suggest camping chairs being more comfortable. Some people bring blankets as well. We will have a limited supply of chairs to rent. Q: Can I bring food/drink? As with any outdoor open event in a park or such, food is up to you! In the past, many have come early to claim their spot and “picnic” before the movie starts. As we are surrounded by lots of bars/restaurants, there are several dining options for before the movie or as "to-go." Q: What time do the movies start? Movies will start “at dusk” or as when it is dark enough, so will vary slightly each week. For the summer, 8:45 is a rough estimate, but we always suggest being early, so you can claim your spot and get settled before the movie. This also gives you time to pick up food or shop our great local businesses! Q: Where can we park? We always suggest walking/biking, etc., and we are right next to the Water Taxi stop, but parking is available at several garages. Premier Parking, located at 950 S. Caroline (lot P2306), has partnered to give exclusive rates each Wednesday this summer. This is a pre-pay by license plate lot. https://www.premiumparking.com/P2306

Q: What if it rains? We will not hold movies in severe weather conditions. Stay tuned to the page or twitter on the day of the event for any cancellation/rescheduling.

Thanks to everyone who came out last night! It was so fun to watch a movie set in Baltimore and with some segments shot right where we were sitting!

Next week is our last week for this “half-season” that we were able to pull together post covid. This free series is put on by a few dedicated volunteers and support from the Preservation Society. If you would like to help us continue this series please help us out by donating any amount, note “films” in the comment.

Next week! The original Top Gun! Just before the new one is released to DVD. Let’s come marvel at how little Tom Cruise has aged 😉

We're crying buckets. Or is that just the sky?

Since rain is expected to continue until 8pm and it's been a monsoon, this delays set up and the ground won't have time to dry out for those of you on blankets. We don't want you all to come down and have to cancel later! We hope to reschedule the showing of The Lost City with Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum, so stay tuned!

UPDATE: Unfortunately we are making the call to cancel tonight's showing due to weather. Of course it will probably be beautiful by 8:30, but ground will still be wet (flooded) and set-up delayed too much. We're sad 😭

As always, we are watching the weather. Currently any possibility of showers is supposed to clear before 8pm. Just in time to give us a beautiful cooler evening. Perfect for watching a film on the pier!

Grab some takeout and bring your chair to watch The Lost City with us tonight ~8:30pm!
