Seven years ago this weekend, we quietly opened our doorsâand watched something really special unfold. What started as a little cafĂ© became part of a much bigger story⊠your story. And ours.
Weâve been so proud to be a part of this communityâs journey.
Through COVID. Through personal heartbreak. Through celebrations big and small.
Whether youâve gotten a little tipsy on the patio, shared a quiet cup of coffee, or filled your table with scratch-made comfort food, youâve made this place what it is.
Weâve watched babies go from the belly to their first high chair⊠and their first pancake.
Weâve helped break the awkwardness of first dates.
Celebrated with you on wedding mornings.
Nursed you through a few âthe night before was a little too funâ breakfasts.
Sat with you in moments of loss while I quietly carried some of my own.
Youâve watched my kids grow into adults.
And Iâve watched yours head off into the world.
These roots run deep. And I am so incredibly proud of what weâve built together.
And hereâs the honest part,
this closing isnât just about a building or a lease.
Itâs about a life thatâs shifting.
The same experiences that shaped this cafĂ©âŠ
my husbandâs fight, Maddisynâs journey, and the moments that changed everything,
are now leading me deeper into healthcare.
So this isnât just an ending.
Itâs a redirection.
As we head into our final weeks as your community cafĂ©, weâre definitely not going quietly.
Weâve got some fun things planned, a few surprises, and plenty of reasons to come in âone more timeâ (which we all know never really means just once).
We reopen tomorrow with some new menu items, hot coffee and lattes, and a few new heat & eat freezer options. Memorial Day will be our last day open.
Letâs make these last moments the best ones yet. đ€
With so much love,
