The Kern County Fair is an enterprise providing a year-round, safe and friendly environment for educational, cultural and entertainment experiences that celebrate the accomplishments of our entire community. We are fiscally responsible as we maintain and expand our facilities and produce events to fulfill the needs of our patrons, business partners, sponsors and exhibitors.

Livestock Exhibitors, scholarship applications are now open! 🎓

The Friends of the Kern County Fair Livestock Scholarship Application is now available for eligible livestock exhibitors.

Applications are due September 16, so be sure to get yours submitted before the deadline.

September is Hunger Action Month, a nationwide effort to raise awareness about hunger and support local food banks.

On Tuesday, September 29, the Kern County Fair will host Feed the Need, sponsored by NextEra Energy. 🎡

Bring 6 or more canned food items to the Fair and receive FREE admission for the day!🥫

All donated food will benefit the CAPK Food Bank and help support families throughout Kern County!

Think you’ve got a blue-ribbon-worthy recipe, photo, quilt, plant, craft, collection or creation? Now’s the time to show it off at the Kern County Fair!

Competitive Exhibit entries close September 4, with departments for everything from Culinary Arts and Photography to Hobbies, Agriculture and more.

✨ And don’t forget: Junior Department entries are completely FREE! Youth exhibitors 18 and under can enter their creations and compete for ribbons at no cost.

Grab some old clothes and come help us get the livestock area Fair-ready! 🎨🐄🐖

Upside Academy Inc. is hosting Community Paint Day at the Kern County Fair on Saturday, August 29 from 7:30 AM–1:30 PM.

Volunteers will be helping paint the livestock pens ahead of this year’s Fair, so come ready to get a little messy and have some fun while giving back!

🎨 FREE breakfast & lunch provided
🏆 $100 prize for Best Stall
