Young vines of Mondeuse are rooting in the vineyards of Nichol Vineyard & Estate Winery on the beautiful Naramata Bench in the Okanagan Valley. Native to the Savoie region of France, this ancient varietal has long been blended with Gamay, Pinot Noir, and Poulsard. Last week, Sunridge Nurseries was honored to participate in the inaugural Grapa Global Field Day in Sonora, Mexico. The event focused on visiting commercial plantings of Early Sweet & ARRA Honey Pop. The day began at Agricola Cactus before continuing to Agricola Bay next door where attendees toured both organic and conventional production blocks and the fruit did not disappoint! We wrapped up the day with a wonderful lunch at Agricola Cactus. A special thank you to Juan Carlos Sierra, Bernardo Bay, and their teams for their hospitality and for producing such exceptional fruit.

Last week, we visited a new planting at one of the Vignolo Family ranches just east of Shafter, CA. It’s always great to see a field prepped so clean and ready for our vines setting the stage for a strong start.

Next to these four newly planted blocks are ARRA Cherry Crush™ vines planted last year, which are coming along beautifully. We’re grateful for long-standing partnerships with growers like John Vignolo and the dedication they bring to producing exceptional fruit from high-quality vines.
