RAISE THE STONE: Help Build a Celtic Cultural Center in Austin
For nearly 30 years, the Austin Celtic Festival has celebrated Celtic music, dance, language, and heritage — but Austin still lacks a permanent home for these traditions. We want to change that. The City of Austin is asking for input and suggestions for its upcoming Bond election on items that they can consider for funding.
We are proud to launch the Raise the Stone Campaign, a community effort to build a Celtic Cultural Center in Austin — a year-round hub for performances, classes, heritage exhibits, community gatherings, and cultural preservation. This center would serve not only the Celtic community but Austin’s broader arts ecosystem by adding much-needed mid-size performance and educational space. We have attended two Bond Election Task Force Meetings, asking for consideration. Today, we sent the formal proposal to their members and to the Austin City Council.

🍀 Exciting News for Austin’s Celtic Community! 🍀

We are proud to announce that the Austin Celtic Association and the Celtic Cultural Center of Texas have officially merged! This unification brings together two organizations that have worked closely for many years and now move forward as one under the leadership of the Austin Celtic Association Board of Trustees, many of whom have long collaborated with the CCC.

This merger strengthens our ability to preserve, promote, and celebrate Celtic culture in Central Texas — and it opens the door to some exciting possibilities ahead.

Special thanks to Attorney Xavier Jackson and Blank Rome for their pro bono service in helping us achieve the merger.

• We are actively exploring the return of St. Patrick’s Day Austin and Celtic Christmas
• While we may not have enough time to complete permitting for St. Patrick’s Day this year, we will share updates as soon as decisions are finalized
• We will also be launching a new and exciting initiative, which we’ll be announcing on Monday — stay tuned!
