🏀1 on 1 roll outs🏀

One of our favorite drills to work on attacking a close out. Offense has to read and react and be ready to attack.

Great first step to get downhill in the first clip.

Slow close out with lots of space in the second clip so you have to be ready to shoot.

📚Homework assignment- tune in to the game tonight and watch how they attack close outs. Will post some of our favorites after the game!

🏀 COACH SPOTLIGHT: GRACE BAGAN 🏀

We’re excited to have Grace Bagan joining the Core Hoops camp staff this year!

Grace is currently a junior at Hyde Park High School and has established herself as one of the top players in the area through her work ethic, leadership, and commitment to improving her game.

Her accomplishments include:

• Final Four All-Tournament Team
• 1st Team All Central Texas Private School Team
• Academic All-State
• Eclipsed 1000 career points

🏀 COACH SPOTLIGHT: COACH BO 🏀

Mataras “Bo” Bobo brings both high-level playing experience and a passion for teaching the fundamentals to Core Hoops.

Originally from Mississippi, Coach Bo played varsity basketball at South Panola High School before continuing his development at Ole Miss, where he trained as a practice player. He later competed at the semi-professional level in Nashville, continuing to grow his understanding of the game.

Today, Coach Bo serves as the JV coach at Hyde Park Schools and focuses on player development, helping athletes build strong fundamentals and confidence that translate to game success.

His coaching philosophy centers on discipline, effort, and consistent improvement — both on and off the court.

We’re excited to have Coach Bo investing in the next generation of Core Hoops players this summer.

🏀Coach Spotlight: Knox Riemondi 🏀

Knox Riemondi’s basketball journey started in 6th grade — and he hasn’t stopped working on his game since. His dedication led him to play four years of varsity basketball at Hyde Park High School, where he was voted team MVP his junior and senior seasons.

Knox also competed with UA Unbreakable, continuing to develop his skills and love for the game through high-level competition.

His passion for player development began as a freshman after being introduced to performance training and exercise science, which sparked his interest in pursuing a future in physical therapy and athletic development.

Knox is currently playing collegiate basketball at Occidental College, where he is majoring in Kinesiology while following the Pre-Physical Therapy track. His academic focus and playing experience give him a strong understanding of how athletes develop both on the court and physically.

Knox has also been part of the Core Hoops family for several years, working camps alongside Coach Pitt and investing in the development of younger players. His energy, relatability, and passion for helping athletes improve make him a great role model for the next generation.

We’re excited to have Coach Knox continuing to pour into Core Hoops athletes.

🏀Coach Spotlight: Cameron Jones 🏀jones1

Coach Jones played collegiate basketball at Concordia University Texas, where he also developed his coaching foundation while serving as a student coach. His experience as both a player and coach gives him a unique perspective on skill development and teaching the game.

Following his playing career, Cameron transitioned fully into coaching and currently serves as a varsity assistant basketball coach at Hyde Park Upper School, where he helps support player development and team success.

In addition to his high school coaching experience, Cameron is actively involved in AAU basketball, focusing on skill development, basketball IQ, and helping athletes grow both on and off the court. His passion for teaching and his commitment to player growth make him a valuable part of the Core Hoops staff.

We are excited to have Coach Jones investing in the next generation of players through Core Hoops.
