The Driftwood Dome

The Driftwood Dome "Like" this page to get invited to concerts and other events at the Dome in Radiance in Austin, Texas! No kitchen facilities available.

The Radiance Dome was the first building constructed in 1983 as the centerpiece of the Radiance community (http://radiancetx.org). The community has used it for its twice daily practice of Transcendental Meditation since that time, and has held numerous concerts, community celebrations, meetings, workshops, lectures, and several weddings in the ensuing decades. The 4000 square foot Dome is available for rent for events with a positive, uplifting purpose between 9am and 4:30pm and after 7pm, most days. I bought this place with a promise to the land: to be the best steward I could. Protect every tree, increase biodiversity, support the wildlife, and create beautiful human experiences here.

When so much of the hill country is being cleared for more buildings to consume more stuff, it feels more important than ever to get the community here, connecting with the natural world.

Hi everyone! I’m Ashleigh, the new owner of the Radiance Dome, now the *Earth Drifters Dome*.

I recently purchased the property with the intention of making the significant repairs and upgrades it needs, while preserving the native landscape, history, and unique spirit of the building. I’m deeply honored to help keep this special structure standing rather than seeing it bulldozed for development or losing the beautiful trees that surround it.

My vision is to restore the Dome as a vibrant community retreat, a place where people can come for reprieve, connect deeply with nature, restore their health, and build meaningful bonds with neighbors. A place of belonging.

This restoration is a big undertaking. The first (of many) major projects include installing a commercial septic system and replacing two HVAC units - totaling an estimated $75,000–$95,000. It’s a massive undertaking, but I truly believe spaces like this matter now more than ever.
