Day three had us feeling grateful beyond measure. This week, these campers, and our time together has been so special and the memories will stay with us forever. Our final full day was a beautiful one filled with inspiration, connection, and plenty of reasons to slow down and take it all in.

We started the morning with Lindsey and Anastasia for a keynote on purposeful proposals, followed by small group sessions and lunch with the wonderful team at Moe’s Home Collection. Then came an inspiring afternoon with Chloe Legras before we gathered for our “Midnight in Marfa” dinner and danced our way into the night.

Friendship bracelets were exchanged, memories were made, and hearts were very full. We’re feeling so lucky to know this group of campers—and with one more morning together, we’re holding onto every last moment. 🤍

Our last full day of Design a camp is here but there’s still so much to look forward to! We have a full schedule with special guests, brand new intensives, and an unforgettable evening ahead.

We kicked off the day with a keynote with Lindsey and Anastasia sharing thoughtful strategies for leading with confidence, communicating values and creating stronger, more aligned partnerships from the very first conversation with prospective clients.

After the keynote, we have a chance to dive a little deeper. Our small group sessions are creating space for honest conversations, fresh perspectives, and meaningful camper connections.

We’ve planned a thoughtful pause in the day, courtesy of Moe’s Home Collection. We’re gathering in the Quill Room for an Italian lunch where we will connect and recharge before the next round of intensives.

Day two felt a little like coming home 💕

After a full day of learning, sharing, and spending time together, you could feel the walls start to come down and new acquaintances beginning to feel a bit more like old friends. The evening was the perfect extension of that feeling with a tour of the Four Hands showroom, a taste of Austin’s best, silk scarf dyeing, and custom embroidered bags courtesy of FT. LONESOME.

It’s these little moments in between the programming that make camp so special. By the end of day two, conversations feel easier, laughter comes naturally, and meaningful relationships are beginning to take shape. We’re so grateful for this group and everything they’re bringing to the week.

We’re officially halfway through Day 2 and it’s flying by! After the most memorable first day and a fantastic evening together, we came into today with even more energy, curiosity, and excitement for what’s ahead. There’s something so special about having this many incredible designers and humans in one room all ready to learn from one another and make the most of the week.

We kicked off the morning with special guest Erin Stetzer | Home Building Rooted in Commitment for a conversation centered around forming the right relationships with builders.

Photography by Jenna McElroy

Erin shared insight on how to strengthen those partnerships with intention, and how the right collaborations can ultimately create opportunities for the caliber of work you’ve been working toward.

Another successful first day is in the books ✔️ We’re saying goodnight to an incredible group of campers with full hearts, great energy, and so much excitement for what’s ahead!

Day one kicked off with a warm Austin welcome hosted by our friends SUPPLY Showroom before making our way to the Proper hotel for registration and a little lunchtime pick-me-up courtesy of Four Hands.

Our welcome keynote by hosts Anastasia Alyse and Lindsey Brooke Design | LA Interior Design Studio was followed by an incredible conversation with special guest Kelsey McGregor of Kelsey McGregor. We wrapped up the evening with happy hour and a Salt & Stone inspired dinner with sunset views of downtown Austin.

We couldn’t have asked for a better group of designers, sponsors, and industry friends willing to gather, share, and connect. Cheers to another successful start to Camp!

Every year, Design Camp alumni ask us the same thing: are we going back to The Austin Proper?

The answer is most definitely yes! We believe your ability to focus, dream up new concepts, and make real connections is tied directly to the room you’re standing in — so we keep returning to the one hotel that treats that lives up to those expectations.

Years later, Kelly Wearstler is still hand-curating and swapping out the vintage collection herself — proof that commercial and hospitality spaces can feel as personal and collected as someone’s actual home.

The intricate tile work is worth a study up close. The millwork pulls from ancient Japanese practices, yet applied in an entirely new way. Every surface here is a masterclass in creating an evocative experience — exactly the kind of environment we want Design Camp to think inside of.

Completely unique to the other Proper properties, it’s dripping in Texas charm and New York Swank. The palette built for a genuine sense of residence — and its staff bends over backward to make you feel at home. A luxury escape that allows space to expand our way of thinking.

Austin isn’t an accident, either — a 3 hour flight from each coast, 20 minutes from the airport, dead center downtown, and fast becoming a major design hub in the idnustry. This is why we keep coming back. We can’t wait to welcome y’all.

Design Camp 2026 is officially sold out, and the countdown to Austin has begun.

Over four days at The Austin Proper Hotel, a room of driven interior designers will gather for keynotes with Kelsey McGregor, Erin Stetzer, Jason Saft, Chloe Legras, and Jessica Nelson, small group sessions on operating models, client experience, and market visibility, and brand-new optional sessions built around PR, contracts, and web presence.

We’re just as drawn to what happens beyond the Ballroom — the “Salt & Stone” Welcome Dinner, an evening at the Four Hands Flagship Showroom, and “Midnight in Marfa” closing out the week.

Swipe through for the moments we’re counting down to, and follow along here for everything as it unfolds this fall.
