Congratulations to the talented students of Jewett Middle Academy for bringing home a well‑deserved award at the Polk County Public Schools’ Video Awards for their outstanding news coverage of the Spirit of the Buffalo Pow Wow & Multicultural Festival

The Polk County Public Schools Video Awards is hosted by Polk County School District. Polk County Public Schools is one of the largest school districts in the nation, encompassing more than 120 schools and serving more than 117,000 students through both traditional K-12 schools and a variety of other programs.

Jewett Middle Academy is a high‑performing magnet school in Winter Haven known for strong academics, student leadership, and creative learning opportunities.

That’s an incredible achievement and a testament to the dedication of Jewett’s young journalists, editors, and media teachers.

Please share! FIHA's Annual Native American Powwow- St Lucie County
This year Lash and Steel's John Bailey couldn't make it - so he arranged for Nate Middleton to join us! He makes his own whips and we are excited to have him join us.
Our event is mostly under cover, so it is rain or shine! We do have bleachers, but if you want to bring your own chairs, you are welcome to. Also, there is an ATM on site, but you may want to bring cash in case you want to purchase from any vendors that don't accept cards.
The committee booth will be selling t-shirts, coffee, water and some snacks. (we do have food vendors for meals, Native food and other items) All of the profits from these items goes back into putting on the next powwow- the more we raise, the bigger and better powwow for next year! We are a 501c3 run completely by unpaid volunteers.

The Spirit of the Buffalo Pow Wow Announces Student Appreciation Day

Please join us for the 30th Annual Spirit of the Buffalo Multicultural Festival and Pow Wow. The event takes place under the big top circus tent (rain or shine) at the International Market World Flea Market in Auburndale.
Enjoy free admission on Fridays for all students, chaperones and teachers. Free parking for school buses and vans.
