The Western States Trail Ride, popularly called the Tevis Cup is the annual 100-Mile One-Day endurance ride from Lake Tahoe to Auburn, California.

Ever wondered what parts of the Tevis trail look like in the daylight?

Longtime Tevis sweep rider, Taylor Thompson, from Sweep Riders of the Sierra, is riding a section of the Western States Trail in the daytime. During the ride this part of the trail is generally only seen by the light of the Tevis Moon.

The end of September marks the close of the fiscal year for the Western States Trail Foundation, the nonprofit organization behind Tevis, dedicated to preserving the integrity and heritage of the storied Western States Trail.

Your support of WSTF helps fund the staging of the annual Tevis Cup Ride, maintenance and improvements to the Western States Trail, care and planned upgrades to Robie Park and the McCann Stadium Finish area, as well as innovations in veterinary-led studies towards the continued health of equines.
