Tip2Tip

09/23/2026

Greetings,

My back will not allow me to ride 50 mi this weekend ...

However, you're welcome to ride the route.

If you plan to, let me know, and I'll be available for SAG if you need it.

I'd suggest starting ~10am or ~11am given the temp and wind profile!

btw, we're still collecting donations for scholarships at the Culinary School in Morehead. If you're so inclined, here's the link: https://cccorksnforks.givingfuel.com/crystal-coast-corks-forks-donations

There will be no 'formal' Tip2Tip this year ... lack of venue is to blame.

I will, however, begin riding portions of the route as I did today and announce the plan to do so here on the T2T page.

Decent ride this morning ... marginal winds from SW, sticky, and a little more traffic than expected.

Stay tuned. Some invites won't be issued until the night before so beware.

There will be showers in the area today ... but we're not deterred from supporting culinary school scholarships!

See you for the 8am start of the 2025 Tip2Tip!

We are on GO for the event tomorrow. Don't let the weather forecast get you down; remember, they're wrong at least 1/2 the time! Get all the details for the event here:

Weather watch ...

I wouldn't be too alarmed yet given the t-storm and rain prediction. Here on the coast we usually observe these conditions just behind the coastline; i.e. over the sound and back inland. But, we'll see. Like we usually do. As you really won't know the weather on the beach until it happens - no matter the forecast.

So, yes, we are a GO for Saturday morning.
