Mother’s Day can hold a lot of different emotions. 💛

For some, it’s a day full of celebration and gratitude. For others, it can be complicated, heavy, bittersweet, or simply different than what people expect. Today, we’re sending love to all of it. To the moms, the chosen moms, the mother figures, the people missing someone, the people navigating difficult relationships, and everyone carrying mixed feelings today.

Today, we honor the legacy of Reverend, activist, and peacemaker Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. His vision, courage, and unwavering belief in equity continue to echo through our communities, our classrooms, and the spaces where we gather to learn, create, and connect.

Dr. King reminded us that progress is built through compassion, service, and the courage to stand up for one another even when it is uncomfortable. His work calls on us not only to remember his words but to live them through action, empathy, and care for our neighbors.

At Lush Life, Human Rights Day means something real to us. Today we remember:

Human rights are not optional, but are a minimum standard for a just world. It is a reminder that the work we do is not just about spirits and travel. It is about people, culture, and creating opportunities that honor the communities we learn from and the bartenders we lift up. 🌍✨

Programs like our residencies and our experiences were built with that in mind. When we partner with producers, we look for more than great liquid. We look for stories, traditions, and a commitment to doing right by the land and the people who care for it. 🌱🤝

These programs bring bartenders together, connect them with communities doing meaningful work, and help create a hospitality industry that values people above everything else. That is at the core of what we believe and what we will always fight to protect. ❤️✨
