For the first time seeing it on youtube, someone performing to the track "Hori Namo Rokhe" from the album Dokho Avatar – An Orchestral Odyssey of Borgeet, which I recorded back in 2011. It was an incredibly moving experience to see a Satriya dance artist bring such grace and expression to this piece. Borgeets, written and composed over 500 years ago by the revered saints Guru Mohapurux Srimanta Xankar Dev and Guru Srimanta Madhav Dev, are deeply spiritual and rich in cultural heritage.
This performance beautifully captured that essence, and I’m truly grateful for the creation of this short clip.
