🦀 It's Oregon Albacore Month! 🐟 While we spend much of the year talking crab, Oregon's seafood story doesn't stop there.

Fresh Oregon albacore tuna begins arriving in ports up and down the coast this time of year, bringing one of the Pacific Northwest's favorite seasonal catches to local markets, restaurants, and home kitchens.

Whether you enjoy it grilled, seared, smoked, or canned for later, August is a great time to support our local fishing fleet and seafood businesses.

Follow along with The Oregon Coast's 10 Days of Tuna campaign for recipes, fishing stories, and ideas for enjoying Oregon-caught albacore.

What's your favorite way to eat Albacore tuna?

🎣 Buoy 10 Season is Here!

One of the Pacific Northwest's most anticipated fishing seasons opened August 1 as the famous Buoy 10 salmon fishery returns to the mouth of the Columbia River.

Each summer, anglers travel from across the country to Astoria and Warrenton for the chance to hook bright Chinook and coho salmon just as they enter the Columbia. Whether you're heading out with a local charter, launching your own boat, or simply watching the day's catch come across the docks, it's one of the traditions that makes late summer on the Lower Columbia so special.

Not planning to fish? You're still in the right place. This is one of the best times of year to enjoy fresh local salmon at area restaurants and seafood markets.

🐟 What's your favorite way to enjoy Columbia River salmon?

Not a bad day in the ocean yesterday at all! These guys made those Talon Rods so some serious work! The big kings hammered the spinners i put together with High Class Tackle Co. and Stacking Bodies Fishing LLC gear. The flashers were by X2 Fishing.
