Astor Geek Fest A celebration of all things geek! This one day mini-con for all ages is FREE to the public. What is Astor Geek Fest? A celebration of all things Geek!

Literature, fandoms, comics, gaming, cosplay, music, steampunk, dieselpunk, superheroes and even the villains (after all without them we wouldn’t have heroes), Sci-fi, fantasy, imagination, and more. The purpose of this event is to bring something awesome to our community, promote the great services and opportunities the library provides, and yes, even raise some funds for programs, equipment, tec

h and of course books! We are looking for geektastic artists, authors, cosplayers, crafters, vendors, musicians and other family friendly geeky talents to appear at the Astor Geek Fest on June 10, 2017.

Due to Covid-19 and a conflict in dates with larger events we will be postponing Astor Geek Fest until the beginning of 2021. We hope to have a solid date announced by the end of summer. In the meantime stay safe and geeky!

Wow this is amazing! Thank all of you who participated as vendors/exhibitors and attendees! Astor Geek Fest and Astor Library couldn't shine without YOU!

The EBSCO Excellence in Rural Library Service Award honors a public library for exemplary service to a community of 10,000 or fewer people whose top per-capita income is less than the 75 percent of the national average. This year’s $1,000 award goes to the Astor County Library located in the rural community of Astor, Fla. During the past four years, the library has hosted an annual Geek Fest and ComicCon, which helps build impactful relationships between library patrons and local businesses.
