Think you can grow the tallest corn around? Now’s your chance to prove it!

We’re excited to introduce our 2026 Corn Growing Contest, where local growers of all ages can compete to grow the tallest corn stalk of the season. Whether you’re a seasoned farmer, backyard gardener, or just looking for some fun family competition — everyone is welcome to join!

🌱 Pick up your seed packet at the Ashley Post Office, Ashley Wornstaff Library, or Ashley Water Departmentent
👤 Open to all ages
📏 Official measuring will be on July 31st

🏁 Contest Starts: 6:30 PM at the Event Tent

👥 Age Groups:
• 5–10 years
• 11–17 years
• 18 and up

⏱️ How It Works: Race to husk 10 ears of corn — the fastest time in each age group wins!

Bring your speed and precision for a fun, friendly competition!
