Dear friends and family of the William J. Saari Memorial Tournament ~

It's with heavy hearts that we are announcing our decision to cancel this year's tournament. This tournament is something we know you all look forward to, to the game, to the drinks, to the jokes in the dugouts, to the heckling from the bleachers. These are things we are all going to miss this year. But everyone's safety is a priority in this uncertain time.

Through the years, our Uncle Bill's memory has brought us all together through his kindness and warm memory, his joyous way of life and his infectious laughter. And while we can't be together to celebrate him this year, we hope you take a second to remember him and join us in raising a beer to a great friend, uncle, husband, but most of all, a great man whom we all miss.

Here's to Uncle Bill and an even better tourney in 2021!

As we like to do every year, the William J Saari tourney organizers donated profits of the annual tourney. This year we Donated to Bad River's basketball camp. They will be headed to the Bucks vs Celtics game in March! We hope the kids have a good time and Go Bucks! And as always, it's never too early to get your team ready for the 6th Annual WJS tourney, the first weekend in August!

ITS TOURNEY WEEK!!! All teams be ready for a fun filled tourney. we still do not have an exact number of teams but looking like 4 or more!

We will also be doing our meet and greet/ Trophy presentation for last years winners at MUGS BAR @ 6 pm this year!! Hope to see you there!

FEES and RULES
$150 Team Entry Fee (50% goes to the cause)
Cash Prize Amount and Payouts determined by final number of registered teams.
TOURNAMENT STYLE will be determined after all teams registered (registration closes one hour before the first game on Saturday)! Brackets will be posted at the field and on the William J Saari Memorial Tournament page.

RULES:
5 Innings OR 1 Hour maximum play time, depending whichever occurs first.
If teams are tied after 5 Innings or 1 hour, teams will play on until a team scores.
5 Men & 5 Women Teams (All 5 Women must play each inning: NO EXCEPTIONS).
No Designated Hitter (DH) necessary, if teams choose to use a DH, it must be a female player from the roster.
Guys MUST bat opposite handed.
Drink a beer (or Jell-O Shot) from the keg on second base, must be finished drinking before scoring!!
MUST BE 21 OR OLDER TO PARTICIPATE! (NO EXCEPTIONS)
If players on teams choose not to drink, the non-drinking player can only take first base. Then the non-drinking player must be replaced by a designated runner.
The William J. Saari Memorial Tournament Organizers retain the discretion to decide if participants are asked to leave and not participate in the tournament, primarily due to previous unsportsmanlike or disruptive behavior.

Even though this is a tournament and we understand that everyone gets competitive, participants are asked to remember that this a memorial event and to not take it so seriously. Win or lose, our goal is for everyone to have fun and remember our fun-loving Uncle Bill Saari!

TOURNAMENT ORGANIZERS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR INJURY OR THEFT DURING THE TOURNAMENT.
PLEASE DRINK RESPONSIBLY!
