Looking forward to the Cattleman Days Rodeo this weekend!
ARE YOU READY FOR THE RODEO?? 🐴
The 2024 Cattlemen Days Rodeo is this weekend, August 23rd & 24th! Here are a few tips to hopefully make your experience go smoothly.
▶️ If you are coming to the rodeo from the north (Columbia), there will be signage asking you to use Martin Lane to enter the city. This route alleviates traffic build-up on E. Broadway, which in turn causes traffic to build-up on US Highway 63.
▶️ Spectators are asked every year to keep clear of the railings that surround the competition area. Please do not lean on or stand on the railings or allow your children to do the same, for the safety of all spectators and event participants.
▶️ Please DO NOT stop or park on the shoulder of US Highway 63, or attempt to access Optimist Drive and the event area directly from the highway.
▶️ The temperatures on Friday and Saturday are projected to be in the high 80s & mid 90s. Remember to stay hydrated!
▶️ Don’t forget about the parade! The Cattlemen Days Rodeo Parade begins at 9 am on Saturday, August 24th. The parade will leave the Optimist Club, travel south on Henry Clay, west on Broadway, north on Main Street, east on Ash Street and north on Henry Clay to end back at the Optimist Club. Traffic WILL BE blocked on those roads during the parade, so please plan your travels accordingly.
