Arlington Arts

Arlington Arts Arlington Cultural Affairs is a division of Arlington Economic Development.

By offering arts groups affordable space and services in lieu of large cash grants, Arlingon Cultural Affairs has fostered one of the most vibrant arts scenes in the DC metropolitan area. By creatively using its status as a government body to leverage resources for the arts, the County demonstrated that artists and government can work together, and transformed its own cultural landscape in the pro

cess. The first and only arts organization to win the Innovations in American Government Award from Harvard University and the Ford Foundation, Arlington Cultural Affairs is now a national model for regional arts support. Arlington Cultural Affairs provides programs and services that build community and transform lives by enhancing enjoyment and understanding of, and participation in, the arts. The unit is a Division of the Arlington County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources.

Carly Harvey Sings Amy Winehouse

Both Country music icon Reba McIntyre and crooner Michael Bublé hit the red button for DMV Blues Diva Carly Harvey’s ‘blind audition’ for NBC’s The Voice last fall. Now you can hear Carly Harvey Sing Amy Winehouse to kick off the Lubber Run Summer Concert Series.

According to DC Music Review, “Carly is grace, confidence, originality, and the right amount of sexy swagger all at once. She commands the stage with her voice and presence and draws you in intensely—then ends each song with an infectious smile of pure gratitude that beams so brightly into the audience.”
