Arlington Community Haunted House Haunted House started by a family. The Haunted House is now a community event in the town of Arlington.

What originally was created for the purpose of scaring our neighbors for Halloween, has become a great success and has transformed over the years.

Meet Kathryn Tanner, a powerhouse of creativity and dedication in our Haunted House family! This year, Kathryn joined us alongside her dad, Don Tanner, and together they’ve truly transformed our event. Not only did they jump into acting, but they also rolled up their sleeves at countless work parties to help build, paint, and decorate each eerie scene.

From the glowing hallways to Clarissa’s chilling room, Kathryn’s creative touch is everywhere. She’s a master at turning simple materials into unforgettable sets, often working late into the night to make sure every detail feels just right. And when the lights go down, she becomes one of our standout actors — scaring guests with talent, heart, and plenty of flair!

We’re beyond grateful to have Kathryn and Don with us, representing Sisco Heights Community Church and showing what community teamwork is all about. Meet Tyler Hill, a student from Arlington High School who volunteers alongside his dad, Tim. Also meet Caleb McCreary, a dedicated member of Marysville-Pilchuck High School’s NJROTC program. These two young men recently demonstrated exactly what leadership, kindness, and community spirit look like at the Arlington Community Haunted House.

During one of our kid-friendly tours, a young guest became visibly frightened. Tyler immediately stepped in—removing his mask, turning on a light, and gently comforting the family. Then Caleb offered to walk with the guest through the rest of the house, ensuring they felt safe and supported every step of the way.

Their actions turned what could have been a scary moment into a heartwarming memory. Tyler and Caleb reminded us that this Haunted House isn’t just about the scares—it’s about community. It's about caring for each other, lifting each other up, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome.

We’re proud to have Tyler Hill and Caleb McCreary on our team. Thank you both for showing us what true community looks like in action.
