It rained most of the day, including heavy downpours over the last several miles... A successful day, with good lessons learned, and more yet to give... Keep your eyes on this guy, this was just the beginning of his season👊

Good Afternoon Wedel 2020 Registrants-
Wanted to touch base with everyone regarding the race registration refunds since we have been getting quite a few questions!

As you know, we are offering a full refund (less processing fees) for our 2020 registrants. Our RDs have been working diligently with UltraSignup to get everyone their refunds as quickly as possible, however we are definitely in uncharted waters. As many races aren't offering full refunds in favor of deferments, and UltraSignup's credit card retention policy is very short, we no longer have the ability to directly refund everyone's cards. We are currently looking into having the registration funds deposited into an account, so the RDs can write checks to each registrant who has requested their money back. Our goal is to have this completed and checks in the mail by the end of August (sooner if possible, but again, we are in new territory here). We appreciate your patience during this time!

Good Afternoon Wedel 2020 Runners,

It is with heavy heart that we have decided to cancel this year’s race. We have spent the past few months watching the progression of Corona and weighing our options as to how to host the event in the safest way. Following suit with many races in the area, we determined the best option would be to cancel this year’s event. That being said, outside of UltraSignup’s processing fees, we will be returning all the current registered runners entry fees. To get your refund, you will either have to cancel your registration through your registration history on UltraSignup OR via the “Edit” link on your registration receipt. If for whatever reason you are struggling to get your refund, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Due to the unprecedented nature of this situation, we could not, with good conscious, host the race knowing we were potentially exposing our runners, volunteers, the families of our runners and volunteers, or our own family to any part of this virus. We want all of you to stay healthy and safe! Should you have any questions or concerns or would like to make a donation to the Wedel Oak Woods Foundation, please give us a shout!
