Shout out to Edith Summy with Summy Family Horses, Bayleigh McReynolds and Cameron Mcreynolds, for loaning us the horses, bull, donkey, and goats for the petting zoo! We couldn't do it without you!

I heard the Best Carter County Fair story earlier today!! This precious and amazing couple that I have known for more than 40 years. Spent alot of time with them during high school as their kids were fellow livestock showers!!! And as a Fair Manager for 17 out of the past 20 years, I see them every year at the County Fair. I still don't understand with seeing them at the County Fair for about 40 years, this was first time I was told they had their 1st date at the County Fair 57 years ago and only was able to ride one ride, the Ferris Wheel. Lovely story for a lovely couple. Spoke to the Pride of Texas Shows and our Fair photographer Madi B. Creatives and they got a little photo shoot and I called the Awesome Drew Butler with the Ardmoreite.
Go get your Ardmoreite tomorrow and read all about Larry and Lois Mitchell's first date at the Carter County Free Fair. If you know either of them, the little stories they shared will melt your heart and have you laughing!!! I enjoyed visiting with you both!!

Heads up!!! Carnival opens at 2 today instead of the 1 we have posted. Im getting angry people phone calls about it!! Chill out people, go spend an hour looking at the exhibits and vendor booths. Go look at the animals or watch the Horseshoe Tournament. Sorry for the mistake. Be thankful I posted earlier time and not later!!!
Just know for the next 45 minutes, if you get irrational on the phone, I will be in a Bad Service area......LOL
