🌪️ May may have been quieter overall than average, but a few states still saw plenty of tornado activity. Leading the way was Nebraska with 29 tornado reports, followed by Mississippi (27), Iowa (24), Texas (19), and Kansas (12).
One of the biggest surprises? Oklahoma... often one of the most active tornado states, recorded just 2 tornado reports during the month, far below its typical May average.
Severe weather patterns can shift dramatically from year to year, showing that tornado season never follows the same script twice.
