78th Annual Shrimporee Festival Returns October 16–18, 2026
Bigger, Bolder, and Better Than Ever
Aransas Pass, TX – Get ready for one of the Texas coast’s most anticipated traditions! The Aransas Pass Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with local organizations and dedicated volunteers, proudly announces the 78th Annual Shrimporee Festival, taking place October 16–18, 2026, with a special Carnival Kickoff on Thursday, October 15.
Shrimporee continues to grow each year, attracting thousands of visitors from across Texas and beyond for a vibrant coastal celebration centered around shrimp, music, family-friendly fun, and community pride.
Shrimporee is a celebration of our rich sh*****ng heritage, an industry that once stood at the heart of our community’s livelihood and remains near and dear to our community today.
Shrimporee is the signature event of the Aransas Pass Chamber of Commerce, serving as a cornerstone celebration that drives economic impact while showcasing the pride, history, and spirit of the community. The festival also plays a vital role in supporting local nonprofits, providing opportunities to raise funds for their charitable missions and educational scholarships.

Festival Schedule:
Thursday, October 15 – Carnival Kickoff
Friday, October 16 – Festival Gates: 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM
Saturday, October 17 – Parade at 10:00 AM (Downtown Aransas Pass)
Festival Gates: 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM
Sunday, October 18 – Festival Gates: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Activities & Attractions:
Shrimporee offers something for everyone! Fan favorites like the Shrimp Eating Contest and the crowd-pleasing Men’s Sexy Legs Contest return alongside mariachi bands, belly dancing, magic shows, pony rides, and more.
Families can enjoy the Kidz Zone, face painting, games, arts & crafts vendors, and interactive exhibits at the Public Safety Youth & Family Station. Popular attractions, including the Exotic Animal Exhibit and the Mechanical Bull, will also be part of the fun.
Festivalgoers can also indulge in a wide variety of food options, from nonprofit organizations cooking up shrimp in every way imaginable, fried, grilled, boiled, and beyond to local food trucks serving up popular crowd favorites.
Live Entertainment on Three Stages:
Experience nonstop entertainment across three stages featuring a dynamic mix of Country, Rock, Tejano, and 80s & 90s favorites. Be sure to visit the Live Chef’s Stage, where talented chefs will showcase delicious shrimp creations, with samples for guests to enjoy.
