THE 2018 INAUGURAL WISCONSIN GRIDIRON KICKOFF CHALLENGE FOR 7TH& 8THGRADE FOOTBALL TEAMS

Celebrate smart and safe youth football in the state of Wisconsin

Appleton, Wisconsin, January 17, 2018–The 2018 Wisconsin Gridiron Kickoff Challenge is an inaugural season kickoff event for 7thand 8thgrade football teams. The event starts Friday, August 17, (event start time to be announced soon) with registration and activities held at Appleton’s Scheels USA Youth Sports Park. Games start Saturday, with each team playing one game during the event. Festivities will take place throughout the weekend and will include a team flag football competition, music concerts and much more.

The Wisconsin Gridiron Kickoff Challenge is meant to celebrate smart and safe youth football. The festivities will kick off the football season before school is in session, with each team playing one game against an opponent of similar size and skill level from outside their competitive league. This event will be a great way for teams to work out early season challenges and help to get ready for league competition.

Each game will be played in accordance with USA Heads Up Safety expectations andwill be conducted by and follow the NFHS rules and regulations. The games will be officiated by WIAA certified and experienced officiating crews of four. Games will be played at one of the four turf football stadiums in Appleton, all of which are within an 8-mile radius. Each stadium offers a fantastic football experience for both the players and fans alike.

The deadline to register is May 1st, 2018. All registration forms and fees must be submitted and paid to be guaranteed placement. The cost is $500.00 per team and includes:

· Entry for every team member into the two-day festival and many events, experiences and discounts/coupons throughout the weekend

· One competitive football game against an opponent from outside of team league

· Discounts on event apparel and commemorative items

· Wisconsin Gridiron Kickoff Challenge Commemorative Football

The Wisconsin Gridiron Kickoff Challenge is a weekend celebration of competitive football held in Appleton, Wisconsin. The focus is on providing teams and families with a unique game day experience, proper skills training and football-themed entertainment. The Wisconsin Gridiron Kickoff Challenge is committed to a safer style of play in football!
