She was a woman who took care of business but also still had that thing women are better at that made you feel comfortable and cared about. The only male counterpart I can think of would be Bill Graham, because he really cared about the artists, too.’”

The same original members from 1973 return to town humbly marking their remarkable longevity.

Sue McLean & Associates and The Current are proud to kick off the Live at the ROC concert series in St. Louis Park with none other than (in the words of Sue McLean) one of the best live bands on the planet, Los Lobos!

Los Lobos, as proud Chicanos, are celebrating an incredible 50 YEARS of unparalleled musical excellence. And, amazingly, with the original founding members as the pack the entire time. As their liner notes put it, quite simply: "Los Lobos still are David Hidalgo, Louie Pérez, Jr., Cesar Rosas, Conrad Lozano, Steve Berlin."

Joining the bill is celebrated St. Louis Park native and master musical storyteller, Dan Israel, who has been called the “hardest working singer-songwriter in Minnesota.” Dan’s many accolades over the years include the honor of being the very first guest on 89.3 The Current’s Local Show and Minnesota Music Awards for both songwriting and performance.

The ROC (Recreational Outdoor Center) is located at 3700 Monterey Drive in St. Louis Park. This dynamic outdoor space is perfect to come together for great live music. The ROC has also hosted beloved traditions like the spring egg hunt, the Minnesota Wild's free outdoor hockey practices, the annual Juneteenth celebration, art fairs, home & garden shows, carnivals, and more. It’s a community space that can be enjoyed throughout any season.

Four years ago, on July 19, 2019, beloved pop star Aaron Carter took the stage along with the rest of the Pop 2000 Tour crew. It was a show that was unlike any Zoo show before, and after. Aaron's energy was unmatched; and it's truly a show we will never forget.

RIP Aaron. 💔
