That's a wrap for our 2024 Allegheny Township Community Day Festival! As promised we made it BIGGER & BETTER! We are so grateful to everyone who came out & gave us an opportunity to showcase what makes this Township truly special! A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to each sponsor that helped bring this Festival together, along with Northmoreland Park & every member of our committee who worked tirelessly behind-the-scenes to make it happen! We are already looking forward to next year!

West Penn Power will be performing a live Electrical Safety Demo at 2:45 pm tomorrow during the Festival! The company’s live Electrical Safety Demonstration is part of its “Stop. Look. Live.” campaign to educate the public about staying safe around electricity near power lines & equipment. The campaign also features an educational program for children! They will demonstrate the power of 7,200 volts of electricity using a mobile electrical safety exhibit. It creates bright arcs by using an energized transformer to send electricity through various materials, including a car door & metal ladder to simulate what occurs when they contact a power line!

The Allegheny Township Business Crime Watch and DUIE Program will be at Community Day Festival tomorrow with their D.U.I.E. Golf Cart! The primary focus of this program is to educate teen & adult licensed drivers that no matter what the experience level is, the dangers & consequences of impaired driving can be fatal. The golf cart is utilized along with the "Fatal Vision Goggles" or by having the participant texting while driving in a serpentine driving situation as a means to demonstrate the participant’s different levels of impairment & the resulting effects!

The LifeFlight Helicopter is scheduled to land at 3:30pm tomorrow! You will be able to see the helicopter up close & learn how they transport someone to the hospital! (If LifeFlight is needed for an emergency they will be leaving early)

The 2023 Allegheny Township Community Days Event was a BIG SUCCESS despite some of the sporadic rainfall! We want to thank everyone very much for coming out to support & letting us show how GREAT Allegheny Township is! Thank you again to all of our sponsors, Kiski Area High School, & our committee members for making it possible! We will be back BIGGER & BETTER for next year! Hope to see you all again!

After a 17-year absence, Allegheny Township Community Day returned Saturday on the grounds of Kiski Area High School. Held as a partnership between the township and Kiski Area School District, the day featured, food, live bands, games and visits by police, fire and other emergency vehicles for kids....
