In case you missed it, this beautiful banner that was made to match the new banner's on our Main Streets light poles was displayed on HWY 31 on Sunday right as RAGBRAI riders came into Anthon. Mayor, Tammy Reimer donated the banner and we know we'll be able to use it for other events in years to come!! Thanks Tammy!

The Anthon Events Center is a non profit organization and will be hosting a second beer garden in Anthon tomorrow as well as PIE!!! It’s also the home of the Woodbury County Freedom Rock, a beautiful photo op! We hope that you enjoy the stunning building and support them and completing the renovations of their new and improved space!

The Little Siouxloon has got some delicious lookin' menu items for ya tomorrow!!! In house ground beef vegetable burger and grilled chicken bacon wraps! Aside from their Miller, Coors, & Bud beers they'll have a stock of some other specialty options! Grab a slice of homemade pie (they'll have strawberry rhubarb, blueberry, pecan, peach and cherry) on your way out the door and top it with a scoop of Livengoodies ice-cream who'll be parked right outside!! Word on the street is she'll have sweetcorn ice-cream tomorrow!!

The Anthon Community Development Corporation is the heartbeat 💗 of our little town! We are a non profit organization consisting of a group of volunteers. Our main goals in Anthon is to bring family friendly events to our community. We care about the children of Anthon and we want them to love living here. Another area of focus for us is the overall enhancement of Anthon, making it look like and feel more inviting while helping our citizens feel proud to live here. Whether it’s taking on an improvement project and helping a new business get on their feet, we love to be involved. We have some fun activities for you to do tomorrow in Anthon! We are also selling our Anthon RAGBRAI merch! Stop by and see us in front of the Paulsen Auctions building right at the beginning of Main Street!

**Events we have put on recently for kids/families include:

-Easter egg hunt and Easter Bunny

-Anthon Kid's Day Weekend (carnival, children's parade, grand parade, car and tractor show)

-End of Summer Bash (kids water inflatables, mud volleyball, bags tournament and beer garden)

-Christmas Ham Giveaway (we donate 700.00 in free hams to the community that they can sign up to win)

-Christmas Carnival (Kids can come and play fun games where they win tickets for prizes and sit on Santa's lap)

**Projects we have helped with or have taken on in Anthon:

-Anthon Events Center (made a monetary donation towards the remodel and expansion of the facility and helped in demo day efforts

-Main Street Beautification Project: Had all street lamps painted black, commissioned the mural on the side of the Fireside Meat Market and have other parts of the project that will go into place next Spring.

**Some of our goals for the rest of the year include:

-Purchasing paint to touch up metal park equipment at O'Neill Park

-Adding an art in the park project program for kids

-Adding a few a paved/handicap accessible parking areas at our shelter house

-A children's Halloween parade

-An adults Halloween dance fundraiser

-Purchase new games for the Christmas Carnival

-Start a seniors meals on wheels program

Team Bagadonuts stopped in for a cold one at The Little Siouxloon before heading to Sgt Bluff! Anthon is so jazzed for Sunday! A crew of people already working on setting up bike racks in town tonight!

Fireside Steakhouse and Lounge will be hosting the beer garden this Sunday in Anthon! They'll be servin' up screwdrivers, bloody mary's, vodka lemonades, margaritas, domestic beers, and the official RAGBRAI beer from Big Grove Brewery. They'll have Jam Time DJ, the voice of the Iowa Hawkeyes will be there for your entertainment! The beer garden will be near the middle of Main Street between the Fireside Meat Market & Katie+Company. The Fireside will have their indoor lounge open all day so you can pop into the A/C to cool off and have a drink too!

The Fireside Steakhouse and Lounge, Anthon PTO & the Sioux Valley Sports Club have teamed up to bring you ribeye steak sandwiches, prime rib sandwiches, hot dogs, grilled chicken & breakfast burritos! They'll be grillin' and smokin' from dawn up until the last rider leaves! Just follow the smoke to find them their delicious offerings!
