🎉✂️🚲 Get ready, Anniston, it’s time to hit the trail! Join Mayor Ciara Smith-Roston and the community for a group ride celebrating the grand opening of the Chalk Line Pump Track!

The ride begins at Wig’s Wheels (1229 Noble Street) at 9:00 AM CT sharp — please arrive early, as kickstands go up at 9. Riders may bring their own bikes or rent one on-site.

🗺️ We’ll roll down Noble Street, connect to the Ladiga Trail for a scenic ride to Michael Tucker Park and back, finishing at the new pump track (intersection of West 14th St & Grove St) for an 11:00 AM ribbon cutting! All ages and skill levels are welcome — come ride, celebrate, and enjoy one of Anniston’s newest outdoor recreation features!

📍 Ride Kickoff Location: Wig’s Wheels – 1229 Noble Street, Anniston, AL

🕘 Ride Start Time: 9:00 AM CT sharp
• Please arrive early — kickstands go up at 9! Participants may bring their own bike or rent one from Wig’s Wheels for the occasion!

🚲 Ride Route: We’ll roll down Noble Street before connecting to the Chief Trail for a scenic ride to Michael Tucker Park and back (16 miles total), finishing at the brand-new Chalk Line Pump Track!

As part of Life Time’s ongoing evolution of its athletic event portfolio, we have news to share about the future of the Coldwater Trail MTB + Run.

Born in collaboration with the town of Anniston, Calhoun County, and many dedicated community partners, especially NEABA (Northeast Alabama Bicycle Association), this event was created to showcase world-class trails and a truly welcoming community.

Life Time is pleased to transition Coldwater Trail to the Anniston community. Beginning in 2026, NEABA will assume ownership and organization of the event, which will no longer be part of the Life Time Athletic Event portfolio.

We’re incredibly proud of the inaugural 2025 event and confident Coldwater Trail will thrive under NEABA’s leadership. They’ve been an exceptional partner and a cornerstone of the local trail community.

Thank you to the athletes, volunteers, partners, and community members who helped bring Coldwater Trail to life.

Please stay tuned for more details from NEABA as they work toward the 2026 Coldwater Trail.

Since we’re in the midst of the Leadville Race Series lottery season, we wanted to take a moment to wish everyone GOOD LUCK who qualified at the inaugural Life Time Coldwater Trail presented by Sunny King Auto!

We hope your training is going smoothly and you’re feeling ready to take on 100 miles across the biggest, baddest mountains in the Rockies. We’ll be cheering you on from afar in August!

October 30-31, 2026 | Race Weekend!

That’s right. Coldwater Trail 2026 will be held on Halloween weekend! Mark your calendars, pick your costumes, and start counting down the days!

We want to give a huge shoutout to our amazing team of Junior Ambassadors: 15 year old Macie Champion, 17 year old Jaxon Carter, and 19 year old Kayla Liles!

These three rock stars helped us get the word out about our inaugural event and then absolutely crushed it on the bike:

Macie took home 1st overall female in the 50k MTB, Jaxon placed 2nd in his age group and top 10 overall in the 50k MTB, and Kayla won her age group in the 100k MTB.

A huge thanks to all three for supporting the Life Time Coldwater Trail presented by Sunny King Auto and congratulations on fantastic podium performances for each of them!

The model city is filled with charm, southern hospitality, and an absolutely bustling outdoor scene. We are so thankful to be a part of the Anniston community and appreciate the warm welcome y’all gave us in year 1!
