As we head into our final day at the 3-2-1 Invitational, we would like thank those who make this event possible.

Our gratitude goes out to our sponsors Barton & Gray Mariners Club, who had the chance to view racing yesterday on the water before the breeze shut off. To all umpires, race officials, volunteers, and staff members of AYC, we could not make this happen without you.

Of course, we could not hold such a competitive event without the talent and hard work of our competitors from around the globe.

To a great last day with breeze ON! 🎉👏

Race Day 2 Complete at the 3-2-1 Invitational ✓

AYC Team Black opened the day up strong, winning Flight 11 to briefly match RTYC on wins, then got caught by Ida Lewis in Flight 12. A clutch Match Race win in Flight 14 against NYYC keeps them right in the hunt at 8-3. One loss separating them from Royal Thames YC.

San Diego YC is close behind in third place, within striking distance of the top 2.

The breeze died today around 1pm and the motor boat chop rolled in. Race committee made the call to end racing for the day after on the water postponement.

Current Standings:
🥇 Royal Thames YC — 8-2
🥈 AYC Black — 8-3
🥉 San Diego YC — 7-3

With one day left, the leaderboard is tight at the top! Tomorrow calls for sporty conditions, different from what we’ve seen so far.

After a long day of racing, we celebrated together at AYC.

Last night, Royal Thames Yacht Club had the honor of firing the cannon and leading the evening retreat at sunset — a beloved tradition at the 3-2-1 Invitational.

A great dinner with even better company closed out Day 1. Now teams are gearing up for Day 2, where the race committee is hoping to get 12 flights in.
