Congratulation Luke Krasniewski, MSV Top Knife winner 2016!

General manager of the Real Seafood Company Toledo, Kelly Becker said, “The dish is fantastic,” and it’s been enormously popular in only its first week of availability. “The servers are super excited to have something that represents one of our own” on the menu, she said.

Luke Krasniewski’s winning recipe of Espresso Crusted Filet with Porcini Mushroom Butter, Grilled Broccolini, Cranberry-Fig Chutney, and a mashed potato with Montamore cheese is on the menu at Real Seafood Co. at the Docks in East Toledo.

Luke Krasniewski, a 25-year-old sauté and line cook at the Real Seafood Company, 22 Main St., said he’s “pretty happy with the way 2016’s starting out, so far.” The year started out very well for him: On Jan. 12, he won Mainstreet Ventures’

Great Press and Way to Go!!!

Chef Dave Stasko from Blue Pointe Oyster Bar & Seafood Grill created a Baja Lemon Sole, in which he fried sole to make it crisp, layering it over roasted jalapeño soft polenta topped with a cilantro lime slaw and drizzled with Baja avocado sauce.

Congratulations to Chef Jason Self at Real Seafood Ann Arbor for winning the local competition with his Beef Tenderloin alla Diablo – a 6 oz. beef filet with chipotle hollandaise sauce, served with whipped Yukon gold potatoes and fried brussel sprouts, garnished with fried capers. Holy capers, that is awesome!

Congratulations to Chef Wesley at Ciao! for winning the local Top Knife Competition at Ciao! Chef Wesley, you are on your way to the final competition! Chef Wesley’s winning dish was Pollo Ripiene con Ciliegie Secche – an herb marinated roasted chicken breast stuffed with brie cheese and dried cherries finished with a marsala glaze served with herb roasted potatoes and sautéed spinach. Sounds delicious!
