Please join us in congratulating recreation supervisor Colby Vlieger, Parks & Recreation, who has been inducted by The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and Parks & Recreation magazine as a 30 Under 30, a national honor celebrating rising leaders in the field! This group of 30 young professionals is recognized for their hard work, innovation and commitment to park and recreation excellence.

Colby oversees the adult and youth sports leagues in Ankeny. His leadership ensures the smooth operation of more than 300 adult teams and more than 5,000 youth participants. He also manages the Youth Triathlon, SummerFest adult tournaments, and several sports camps.

The 30 Under 30 is a joint effort by the NRPA Young Professional Network and Parks & Recreation magazine, honoring 30 of the top young professionals who serve as everyday champions in their communities. Congratulations to Colby on this well-deserved honor!
