What a great piece of Calaveras County Fair history! Pictured are the Whittle Boys with the late, legendary Cotton Rosser—a true icon of professional rodeo and a longtime friend of fairs throughout California and the West.

Photos like this remind us that the Fair is about more than events—it’s about people, traditions, friendships, and memories that span generations.

Cotton Rosser left an incredible legacy in the rodeo world, and we’re proud that Frogtown was part of his story.

With runners, coaches, families, and spectators coming into our community, please be aware:

🏃‍♀️🐸 THE FROGTOWN INVITATIONAL IS COMING! 🐸🏃‍♂️

On Saturday, September 19, 2026, Frogtown will welcome runners, coaches, families, and fans for the Frogtown Invitational Cross Country Run at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds!

🚗 Local Residents: Please plan for increased traffic around the fairgrounds and possible delays throughout the day. Watch for runners, buses, and pedestrians.

🍽️ Local Businesses: Get ready to welcome our visitors! Athletes and their families will be looking for places to eat, shop, grab coffee, fuel up, and enjoy our community. We encourage everyone to shop and eat local!

We are proud to host an event that brings young athletes and their families to Calaveras County.

We’re proud to share that our very own Exhibits Manager, Kasey Musachia, is lending her expertise as a judge at the Gold Country Fair in Auburn!

Kasey brings a wealth of fair experience, enthusiasm, and appreciation for exhibitors to everything she does, and we’re excited to see her representing the Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee at another great California fair.

If you’re headed toward Auburn, make plans to visit the Gold Country Fair! Support our fellow fairs, enjoy the exhibits, entertainment, food, livestock, and all the traditions that make county fairs such an important part of our communities. 🎠🐄🌽

🇺🇸 September 11 — We Remember 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the families whose lives were forever changed.

We honor the firefighters, law enforcement officers, paramedics, dispatchers, military personnel, and everyday citizens who responded with extraordinary courage and compassion.

We also recognize our veterans and service members, whose commitment and sacrifice remind us of the strength found in service to others and to our country.

May we never forget those we lost. May we always remember the bravery of those who ran toward danger to help others. And may we continue to support the veterans and first responders who serve our communities and our nation.

We remember. We honor. We are grateful. 🇺🇸
