Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee

Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee The Jumping Frog Jubilee is held the 3rd full weekend every May. Frogtown.org Its earliest roots date back to 1893, held that year in Copperopolis.

The Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee is one of the longest running events in the State of California. The fair eventually found a permanent home outside of Angels Camp. In the spirit of the old movie classic "State Fair," the Calaveras County Fair is a blend of entertainment, exhibits, livestock, arena events, great food and our signature event, the International Frog Jump. This piece of Americana will have you Leaping to return year after year. Today, few events illustrate the gold rush era, as well as the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee. Every May the entire community celebrates its history and its future. The tradition of county residents showing off their best still holds true today. The Calaveras County Fair has as many as 7000 exhibits. The junior livestock auction generated over $350,000 for the county's youth. The Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee has grown to an event with more than 45,000 attendees. It is estimated that the Calaveras County Fair generates approximately $25.5 million in revenues through hotels, restaurants, retail, payroll and other related revenues.

What a great piece of Calaveras County Fair history! Pictured are the Whittle Boys with the late, legendary Cotton Rosser—a true icon of professional rodeo and a longtime friend of fairs throughout California and the West.

Photos like this remind us that the Fair is about more than events—it’s about people, traditions, friendships, and memories that span generations.

Cotton Rosser left an incredible legacy in the rodeo world, and we’re proud that Frogtown was part of his story.

Good people. Great memories. Legends live on. ❤️

🎡 Frogtown on the Road! 🏆

We’re proud to share that our very own Exhibits Manager, Kasey Musachia, is lending her expertise as a judge at the Gold Country Fair in Auburn!

Kasey brings a wealth of fair experience, enthusiasm, and appreciation for exhibitors to everything she does, and we’re excited to see her representing the Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee at another great California fair.

If you’re headed toward Auburn, make plans to visit the Gold Country Fair! Support our fellow fairs, enjoy the exhibits, entertainment, food, livestock, and all the traditions that make county fairs such an important part of our communities. 🎠🐄🌽

🇺🇸 September 11 — We Remember 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the families whose lives were forever changed.

We honor the firefighters, law enforcement officers, paramedics, dispatchers, military personnel, and everyday citizens who responded with extraordinary courage and compassion.

We also recognize our veterans and service members, whose commitment and sacrifice remind us of the strength found in service to others and to our country.

May we never forget those we lost. May we always remember the bravery of those who ran toward danger to help others. And may we continue to support the veterans and first responders who serve our communities and our nation.

We remember. We honor. We are grateful. 🇺🇸
