For everyone wondering what the tractor was doing at the venue besides getting ready to plant sunflowers… 👀🚜 🌻

The wait is over — we officially moved the bar to a MUCH more convenient location! 🍻✨

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make the flow of the venue even better for our guests, and we can’t wait for everyone to see it opening weekend. Every little detail is coming together and it’s finally starting to feel REAL! 🤍

We want to kindly remind everyone that our venue property is privately owned. Due to the recent increase in unannounced visits, we are likely going to begin keeping the gates locked when appointments or scheduled events are not taking place.

We truly appreciate the support and excitement surrounding the venue, but ask that all visits be arranged and approved in advance out of respect for the property, ongoing work being completed, and the privacy of those involved.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Last but certainly not least, we are honored to introduce our third and final honorary family for this year’s Fall Fest — Kohen and his incredible family!

Parents: Brandon Puorro & Brooke Leonard

For 199 days, Ronald McDonald House Charities became more than just a place to stay — it became their home.

When Kohen was born, everything changed in an instant. What was expected to be a normal beginning quickly turned into a fight no one could have prepared for. Kohen entered this world already facing challenges, born missing his corpus callosum — something that would shape so much of his journey ahead. From the very beginning, his path looked different.

Not long after, his family faced one of the most terrifying moments of their lives when Kohen developed NEC (necrotizing enterocolitis). Watching your baby fight something so serious is unimaginable. Because of the damage NEC caused, his body hasn’t been able to tolerate feeds the way it should, which is why he relies on TPN to receive the nutrition he needs to grow.

But Kohen wasn’t done showing just how strong he is.

He also struggled with significant airway issues, making it difficult for him to breathe safely on his own. After everything he had already endured, his family made another life-changing decision — a tracheostomy. It wasn’t easy, but it gave Kohen the support he needed to breathe, to be stable, and to keep fighting.

Lines, machines, feeds, medications — these became part of everyday life. Things that once felt overwhelming became routine. But behind every tube and monitor is a little boy who has fought harder than most ever will.

And through it all, Kohen continues to show everyone what true strength looks like.

He has taught his family to slow down in a world that moves too fast. To celebrate the smallest victories — a reaction, a moment of calm, a sign of progress. He has changed the way they see everything.

Those 199 days at Ronald McDonald House were some of the hardest — but also the most meaningful. It gave them a place to stay close to Kohen when they couldn’t be home, support when they felt alone, and a community when they needed it most.

They walked those halls exhausted, scared, and uncertain — but also with hope, strength, and unwavering love.

Brandon, Brooke, Kash, and Kohen have been forever changed by this journey. It hasn’t been easy, and it still isn’t. But they’ve shown that strength doesn’t always look loud — sometimes it’s simply showing up every single day and holding on, even when the future feels uncertain.

Kohen is a fighter. A miracle. A reminder that even in the hardest moments, there is still so much love, purpose, and gratitude.

✨ Fun fact: Kohen was neighbors in the NICU with Family #1’s sweet little Scottie 💕 — such a special connection that makes this story even more meaningful.

Join us this fall as we come together to support this amazing family and celebrate the strength of our entire community. 🍂

🌟 Second honorary family announcement 🌟

Meet Tucker Sherman 💛

Parents: Todd Sherman and Abbi (Monroe)

Tucker is a 6-year-old boy who is energetic, full of life, and as tough as they come. He loves hard work—especially helping out on his family’s dairy farm.

In November, Tucker developed a croupy cough that just wouldn’t go away. After a late-night Urgent Care visit, he was immediately transferred to Rochester, where he was diagnosed with T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Lymphoma.

During our 30-day stay at Golisano Children’s Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House within the hospital became our safe haven—a place to step away, regroup, and find comfort. Whether it was a warm meal, a shower, or a place to rest and do laundry, we were always welcomed with kindness and a warm smile.

Even after discharge, we continue to rely on the RMH when we have early morning treatments or procedures in Rochester. The support and compassion from the volunteers make every trip a little less stressful, knowing our family always has a place to stay and be cared for.

From Abbi: We are so grateful for the love and support that surrounds us ❤️

This is why, we do what we do!

✨ First Family Announcement ✨

We are honored to announce our first honorary family for this year’s Fall Fest at Collins Creekside 💛

Parents: Kayden Zengerle & Lauren (Cicirello)

Sweet Scottie was born four weeks early and spent 53 days at Golisano Children’s Hospital. She was diagnosed with Pierre Robin Sequence, a rare congenital condition that affects the jaw, airway, and feeding. Because of this, Scottie faced challenges with breathing and bottle feeding early on.

On October 22, Scottie underwent jaw surgery called mandibular distraction to help improve her breathing long term — a huge step in her journey.

During their time in the NICU, the Ronald McDonald House became a home away from home for their family, providing comfort, hospitality, and support when they needed it most. As they shared, they felt welcomed every step of the way — something that made all the difference during such a difficult time.

This is exactly why we do what we do.

We are so proud to honor this strong, resilient family and share a small part of Scottie’s story with all of you.

Every year after our Fall Fest, we proudly donate to the Ronald McDonald House ❤️

One of the most meaningful parts of this tradition we started is honoring families who have leaned on the House during some of their hardest days. This year, we have 3 incredibly special families we’ll be recognizing… and we can’t wait to share their stories with you.
