Race for Research The Race for Research is organized by Celera Properties with all proceeds going to the Jimmy Fund

MISSION

Each year, the Race for Research will select a focus area within the Jimmy Fund to donate proceeds in the hopes of improving the standard of care and therapies for cancer treatment. This year, all proceeds from the event will be go to the Hematologic Oncology Fund. The standard of care for the most common types of leukemia, like AML, have not changed in over 40 years until recently. Proce

Brian and I are proud to be hosting the second annual Race for Research event at 600 Federal Street, Andover on October 21, 2023. It is a 5k race with all proceeds supporting the Jimmy Fund. This year is another very meaningful year as all proceeds will be going to translational research for pancreatic cancer in memory of Brian’s Dad, Jeff Carlisle, who passed away recently from pancreatic cancer.

Last year we had ~70 runners and ~100 event participants. This year we’re hoping to surpass last year’s metrics and have a great time again.

We’re adding an “Oktoberfest” after-race party and will have various activities at the recently finished 600 Federal Street outdoor patio.

Online pre-registration will close at 8pm on Friday – spread the word to any family or friends considering joining (although we will also still have same-day registration).

We’ll send a final logistics email with some details on parking on Saturday to all registered runners/doners.
