Portman Marina at Lake Hartwell Located on beautiful Lake Hartwell, Portman Marina is the largest inland marina in South Carolina.

Via I-85, off exit 14, we are only 90 minutes from Atlanta, 30 minutes from Greenville, and less than 15 minutes from Anderson, Clemson, and Lavonia.

The launch ramp will be closed today for the annual Dragon Boat Festival charity event. It will reopen at 6PM this evening.

Portman Marina's launch ramp is currently open to annual pass holders only. Annual passes are $100, and are good until the end of January. All others may use Green Pond's Landing or any other public landing.

In response to the governments increasing demands and requirements for social distancing we are implementing the following policies and procedures until which time these measures are no longer required or necessary. It is our expectation that a realistic timeline would be when the government has produced a vaccine or cure for Covid-19.

The marina is currently closed to the general public. Dock tenants may continue to use their boats for themselves and immediate family only. There will be restrictions on the number of family members based on the government requirements of gatherings of no more than three people. Social gatherings on the docks are strictly prohibited and should they occur the consequences of such action will result in the termination of leases.

Though these measures may seem drastic and are unprecedented, they are deemed to be necessary by government and health experts. In order to continue to enjoy the benefits of boating we must respect the requirements of authorities and the well-being of each other. We are not only following the guidelines and requirements of government but the numerous requests of fellow dock tenants to protect their health and safety. We hope and pray that this crisis will soon be over for our community and our nation.

Additionally, we ask that current and future dock tenants contact the office by phone or email for the following services: slip applications, slip rentals, payments, maintenance requests, or other matters.

PORTMAN MARINA HAS WELCOMED FIRST RESPONDERS SINCE 1962. For 56 years Portman Marina has worked with and supported multiple groups and agencies including first responders, coast guard, DNR, Corps of Engineers, water safety groups and environmental groups. Portman Marina has also been involved with community charities of all types and at all levels while assisting them to raise over 4 million dollars. We are proud to be a part of this community and will continue to support the community for years to come.

The annual Dragon Boat Upstate Festival will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018. Our launch ramp will close at midnight on Friday May 4th and reopen at 6:00 pm on May 5th. Come out and join the festivities sponsored by GHS.
