UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: GOOGLE HAS FLAGGED OUR APPLICATION AND HAS REMOVED IT. WE ARE WORKING TO FIND A FIX AND WILL ALERT YOU WHEN THE APPLICATION IS LIVE AGAIN.

FLOOD AID FOR ANDERSON - PHASE TWO NOW OPEN - BUSINESSES MAY APPLY

$43,000 in Flood Aid assistance has now been distributed to eligible Anderson households impacted by the August flooding.
We know there are many more households in verified flood-impacted areas that have not yet applied, and we want to make sure this assistance reaches as many eligible neighbors as possible.

If your primary residence was in a verified flood-impacted area and you have not already received assistance from Flood Aid for Anderson, please apply. And please help us spread the word to neighbors, friends and family members who may qualify.

Phase Two is now open, which means eligible Anderson businesses may also apply. Businesses must be located within a verified flood-impacted area.

Update!

FLOOD AID FOR ANDERSON: APPLICATION & GIVING UPDATE

Flood recovery takes time, and Flood Aid for Anderson continues to help our neighbors as they move forward.

Applications are still open. Half of the applications received to date have now been processed, and applicants will receive information about their status directly from Anderson AIMS

Donations are also still being accepted. Funds raised through Flood Aid for Anderson are providing additional resources to local residents affected by the flooding, helping with immediate and ongoing needs as families continue navigating recovery.

Every gift allows this community-led effort to help another neighbor. As long as donations continue coming in, we will continue putting those resources back into the hands of people impacted by the flood.

If you experienced flood-related damage and need stopgap help before FEMA and insurance can kick in as you begin the recovery process, we encourage you to apply.

From pitching in wherever he was needed to putting in the time and effort behind the scenes (including re-drawing chalk lines after the rain Saturday morning), Tim went above and beyond to help us bring the festival together.

Following the tremendous response to Flood Aid for Anderson, work is underway to provide direct support to Anderson residents and local businesses impacted by the recent flooding.

The Flood Aid for Anderson effort is being carried forward collaboratively by Anderson AIMS, the Anderson Gaslight Festival, and the Madison County Community Foundation, with MCCF serving as the charitable steward of the fund.

The fund is not yet open for applications, but the application is expected to be available within the next few days. Once it opens, residents and businesses impacted by the flood will be able to submit a request for assistance. The process will be clearly explained and designed to be easy to follow, and applications will be reviewed to help ensure available funds are distributed fairly and responsibly.

This relief effort came together extraordinarily quickly because our community responded extraordinarily quickly. We are working with that same sense of urgency while also taking the care necessary to steward these community-raised funds well.
