This past Saturday the We Give Thanks Board had the pleasure of sponsoring Turkey giveaways at the California Highway Patrol’s “Chips for Kids” Toy giveaway at their Santa Ana station. On October 13, Congressman Correa hosted a celebration of Hispanic heritage and culture. This community event featured a legislative update on issues important to the District, live music and dancing, and a public honoring of many community leaders. Congressman Correa honored Judge Fred Aguirre, Principal Jeff Bishop, Frank Garcia, Mary Lara, Sylvia Mendez and the Mendez Family, Viola Myre, Provost Valentina Purtell, Consul Mario Cuevas Zamora.
